Episode 15: Bunny Bucks - The Cost of Caring for Our Bunnies
Tuesday Jun 18, 2024
Tuesday Jun 18, 2024
Welcome back to another cozy episode of The Bunmom Life! Today, we're delving into the financial side of bunny parenting. But fear not! This isn't your typical boring budget talk (we hope) —it's a journey through our bun-family's spending habits and the tales behind them.
How much do our beloved bunnos actually cost? We share stories from hay to veggies (and our fridge’s chill factor making a surprising difference), treats to chew toys (learning the hard way what our bunnies prefer), to chew toys that are not supposed to be chew toys (hint: baseboards and couches), we break down the essentials and the occasional splurges. Each bunny is so different and their health conditions are one of the main factors that determine whether we have a pretty lost-cost bun to a very expensive one. Timo’s health struggles really showed us the very costly side of bunny care.
Oh the joys and challenges of being bunparents! Despite the costs, the love and companionship they bring are priceless. We hope you’ll join us for our stories and insights and we hope you enjoy this one. Thanks for tuning in! Until next time, stay fluffy and loved 🐰💕

Episode 14: We Moved! (How We Moved with Our Bunny Roo)
Thursday May 09, 2024
Thursday May 09, 2024
We just moved into a new home! From a small one bedroom condo to a 3 floor townhouse, tune in to hear how we arranged and prepared for our move with Roo at the top of our priority list. We share about what it was like for her being surrounded by boxes filled with items from 8 years of our lives living there, how we organized moving day, and how we transitioned Roo into the new space, including getting her used to new hardwood floors and stairs! We have many stories; we especially love the one we tell about Roo and the ONE rug she hates (note: Roo typically loves all rugs). So grab your cup of coffee or mug of tea, come on over to our little Bunmom Life Cafe, and sit with us as we tell you all about our big move. Thank you for tuning in and we hope you enjoy this one!

On this episode, we’re delving into more of the less glamorous duties of being a bunmom. Brushing, grooming (think fur everywhere), nail trims, house cleaning (how long can we get away with not cleaning the litterbox?). Bunnies are more work than you might think! Also, tumblefluffs! Yes, we made up that word and we think it’s quite fitting. How about bunny sneezes? And Roo the bunny-cat? We also share some exciting updates about this month. Come join us! We hope you enjoy this one 🙂

Hello!
This is the story of my life and how it all changed the day my husband, Mario, and I decided to bring home a bunny. We have been blessed to become bunparents to three of them. They are fully free-roaming (no cages or small enclosures!), fully litter-trained, they can do tricks, and they are cuddly! This podcast is a gift to our Instagram community who adore Roo, Linus, and Timo, and it is also a tribute to our beloved Linus bear who crossed the rainbow bridge in June 2022.
